BEE PROPOLIS

NEWLY REFRESHED RANGE!

Still the same pure, powerful and natural immune support with over 300 bioactive compounds (antioxidants)
but now in NEW recycled packaging and NEW designs!

Honeybees are clever.

They make bee propolis by collecting resin from trees and combine it with beeswax and enzymes to seal and protect the hive. This barrier provides powerful protection, warding off any incoming bacteria, viruses, fungi and other illness from entering the hive.

Honeybees even lay down a mat made of propolis to walk over and cleanse themselves as they enter the hive.

Bee propolis protects our body in the same way it protects the hive. Because bee propolis originates from a plant’s immune system, it's extremely potent and contains over 300 natural, bioactive compounds, flavonoids and phenolics (potent antioxidants) that work at a cellular level to fight free radicals and support the body’s immune system, naturally.

Different Manuka Honey brands use different rating systems, which makes things confusing when you’re trying to compare options. Something rated as a “Factor” of 16 or “Bio-Active” of 24 sounds like it would be superior to a UMF™ 15+, right? Unfortunately, that’s not the case. We even lab tested a few popular brands to be sure, and the results weren’t what you’d expect, especially when paying $30, $40 or $50 for a jar. Here’s what you need to know about Manuka Honey rating systems:

Gold Standard:
UMF™ (Unique Manuka Factor) is 3rd party certified, guaranteeing that products carrying the UMF mark contain a minimum level all three of the key compounds, and ensure that its genuine, monofloral Manuka Honey (Leptosperin, DHA, and MGO). UMF™ was developed by a trade group of scientists and consumer protection advocates (UMFHA) to ensure quality and purity standards.

Silver Standard:
MGO Short for Methylglyoxal, MGO is one of the three key chemical markers as measured by UMFHA of Manuka Honey. As Dr. James Gawenis, the scientist who contributed to a recent Good Morning America investigation of Manuka Honey said: “If it doesn’t have the MGO levels then you may as well buy sweet clover honey for less than a tenth of the price you’re paying for Manuka Honey.” While MGO is a very important marker for Manuka’s non-peroxide activity, on its own does not ensure the full potency UMF™ monofloral Manuka Honey offers.

Lacking Standard:
Almost anything else! Logically, it would seem that a Manuka Honey labeled with numbers like 12, 16, or 24+ would possess higher bioactivity than a UMF™ 5, 10, or 15+, right? Those words, numbers, and symbols were created by marketers to sound meaningful, though they don’t adhere to any independent standard. The truth is, they may or may not offer detectable levels of the unique compounds that constitute Real Manuka Honey

BACKED BY SCIENCE

There are now many scientific studies that prove the immune power of the beehive and what people have known for centuries – that natural bee propolis works when it comes to immune function support1 and antibacterial support.

In fact, over the past two decades, there has been a ten-fold increase in bee propolis research papers with over 4,000 scientific papers now published.

NOT ALL BEE PROPOLIS IS CREATED EQUAL

our unique Propolis Flavonoid Level (PFLTM) measure

What makes Immune Bee different from others is our measure of flavonoids (it's the flavonoids that matter when buying propolis, as these bioactive compounds are what support the immune system – not the amount of propolis or fresh equivalent of propolis consumed).

Together with the Cawthorn Institute (a leading New Zealand Government Research Institute), Comvita has developed a unique advanced analytical technology that measures the concentration of pure flavonoids per serve of bee propolis. We call this measure PFLTM which stands for 'Propolis Flavonoid Level'.  Through our PFLTM technology, we guarantee you receive the exact amount of flavonoids per serve, depending on your needs.

For everyday immune support, we recommend choosing Immune Bee PFLTM30 – a high strength, one a day, daily dose of immune support in a plant-based capsule containing 30 flavonoids per serve. Backed by science, this is the perfect protection for everyday immune support to Be Life ReadyTM.

PURE PROPOLIS

Unlike synthetic immunity supplements made in factories, our Comvita Immune Bee Propolis is made in nature, by honeybees, in beehives. We source raw propolis, gently wash away the beeswax, debris and other impurities leaving behind pure, propolis concentrated extract. This concentrate is then lovingly bottled into formats for your convenience.

We source our raw propolis from Comvita beekeepers and trusted beekeeping partners. Because bees can collect propolis from up to five kilometres in any direction from their hive, we triple test all of our raw propolis for pesticides, residues, heavy metals and other chemicals to ensure every batch meets our    stringent quality criteria.

We don't add artificial flavours, colours or preservatives to our bee propolis products, so that you receive only the purest and most potent flavonoids in every daily dose!

AN ANCIENT REMEDY

The name 'propolis' is derived from the Ancient Greek words 'zπρο' (pro) which means 'in defence of,' and 'πόλις' (polis), meaning 'city', the overall meaning being 'in defence of the city'.

Bee propolis, often referred to as 'bee glue', is a centuries-old natural medicine, with usage tracing back to Ancient Egyptians, Greeks and Romans who used it for treating wounds, skin and mouth infections.
